Mostly we were grousing about how few good movies are being made these days. Sideways was the movie of the year, imo. Aside from the cheap sentiment, the big problem I had with Baby is SPOILER ALERT ----------------- --------------- that for $150 she could have had a lawyer show up at the hospital, sign a living will at her direction, and have the plug pulled on the breathing machine by her doctor. Or someone could have downloaded the form off the net and save her the $150. I see no tragedy in ending someone's needless suffering ... if I am ever in that position just give me a deadly dose of morphine and let me be on my way, thank you very much.
