I was a Californian for far longer than you have been. Questionable but possible. I saw the changes as they developed. I don't particularly fault California's institutions of higher learning. I grew weary of teaching California's high school graduates the alphabet and other basics. It's a tough job, but SOMEBODY'S gotta do it! :-) California has been the leader in all sorts of innovations, to be sure, some of them more desirable and valuable than others. Oh, all right. The cell phone, the worst pest ever inflicted on suffering humanity, was invented here.
