Way too risky to short Google, IMO. There are likely tons of people out there kicking themselves they didn't get in yet. So any sell-off should be quickly countered by the proverbial "good buying opp." The best way to know when the top is near is to talk to a "mom and pop investor" about Google. If they say "I'm waiting for it to come down a bit", steer clear. If they say "forget it, I learned my lesson from Yahoo" then start shorting (g).

GOOG could also get into selling Books, Autions, ect in the future and there advertising costs would be very low.
