All that will be lost if Bush succeeds with his cuts.

Not all of the routes are loss making, and even without the subsidies some loss making routs can be kept if they don't lose too much and have a shot at eventually profitability.

Eliminating subsidies means eliminating some or most non-profitable routes not eliminating Amtrak.
