hey reid, i'm fixated on 4q for a couple of reasons. first, the rydex family of funds has funds with which you can both go long and short. there is NO other way to go short ANYTHING absent that and as some of us have learned the hard way, being a permabull can be a harrowing experience.

second, it eliminates "specific stock risk" which is a term used often by Bob Brinker, (a name Terry will remember) and that relates to the "news driven" events ie Emulex..

lastly, as one of your rules for TA trading, you need to look at stocks your trading within the context of the/a overall market and many of the stocks you are identifying are stocks within the naz100. probably "the naz" would be a better benchmark for that but....

for now, i'm off to a PAm ANderson party...lol
