Must be a difference between jihadis going to iraq and al quaeda leaders and selected fighters that were trained in afganistan. Jihadis going to iraq are going there to die in order to weaken the US perception in the Muslim mind. It is comprable to human wave attacks of the chinese during korea war. Bin laden doesnt give a damn about how many jihadis die in iraq. He does care about the survival of his world wide cells at least until they are called on to do something on a grand scale. Just my take.

That is a point well-taken. What concerns me is that it not become an excuse to say that the extreme misery of Palestinians does not matter and that improving their lives will do nothing to stop terrorism -- these are conclusions that some people have drawn from the research, despite the fact that the research is not aimed at providing political support to those sorts of self-serving conclusions.
