ot the next move no way will dog get shipped separately. took three weeks of us staying up with dog and kids upset with dad to get dog back to healthy state. Next move we plan to fly him with us. He is a 60lb black lab. Having never done this before vet tells me to give dog a sedative before flight. Ok. American airlines tells me to bring dog to first class ticket counter ok. i bring dog to first class ticket counter and dog has had three sedatives he doesn't like LAX. I tried to give the clerk, the dog with lease. To my surprise they didn't want to take the dog! Seems i was supposed to have him in a crate. oops so i buy crate at first class counter and begin to put it together in front of about fifty people. I get everything tight, they also provide wrench. Then get the dog from my daughter and try to put the dog into the cage. Nope. He doesn't want to do into the cage. Now there are couple hundred people at LAX who have nothing to do this morning but stop and watch me trying to put a dog in a cage who decides to go down on all his legs and hung the floor. I get lots of help from bystanders on various alternatives to get dog in cage. Eventually i get the dog in cage, first class assumes custody of dog. I pick up wife and other children. Nice flight to chicago until we go get the bags. As the conveyor starts up the first thing coming out of it upside down is our cage and dog. He is laying on his back , confused and peed all over himself. on the relocation I end up putting dog in car with me and i drive two days. Wife and two kids fly one kid decides to come with me to make sure i do not kill the dog. see ya.
