We were just talking about this the other night after seeing a commercial on tv for some drug and feeling offended. The whole lifestyle commercialization of prescriptions (viagra, elevil, celebrex) is causing a lot of the problem, imo. People see panaceas and head for their dr. demanding Rxs when they may not be called for.

I might be persuaded to pay for the drug for someone with a true problem because I think sex IS important to overall health, and the problem could lead to other things, like depression which will cost just as much to deal with. I resent if we are paying for someone's "recreational enhancement" though and with all the advertising and demand, I don't know that doctors are really doing the differentiating they should.
And as an aside, I realllllly resent the fact that many insurances won't cover birth control pills, but do cover viagra.
