If you're GOOG management, it's not in your best interest to have the company's stock fall off a cliff for no reason at all but a lockup expiration.

Although I have no info on this I have to believe, and Lizzie has made a case for it as well, that much of the stock that is going to be sold has been placed and will not see the open market.

GOOG WILL eventually become an index stock. The institutions WILL have to buy it one day. You can buy now at $187 or you can buy it a year from now at $300.

After five years, the rust got me and I was whipped out, put options should only have been sold and reversed ona significant break of the 2/2 premarket high of 219, say maybe 223 on high volume. Stupid mistake :-(. I see you have been holding all this time, congratulations amigo you did not get shaken out like I did. Problem is the more research I did the better a company I thought GOOG was, then Wall Street risking an implosion but in the end I think Brin and Page won't mind if we go back to the 85 IPO levels so they can focus on what they do best and that's providing great tools for the public. They hinted at this, especially Sergey Brin.

GOOG follows EBAY and it's headed to 45 or worse. (But EBAY recovered and then some, on 46 months.) Then will be the time to invest, not here. Earnings spike reversed on high volume = very bad sign. A classic short or put play, even after a drop of 30.

Someone on the Yahoo board asked about the age of most 1,000 GOOG employee paper millionaires. I watched the webcast on analyst day: they're mostly between 25-35, and will want to sell, get a foundation, and then refocus on their work. IMO.

Bo, I have off and on since yesterday had problems posting on the Yahoo board, like now. What's the problem with their servers?

Reading through all the garbage posts, some truly offensive (and I'm not easily offended!) is a major pain.

If you can, maybe tonight contact a few of the intelligent posters there and get them to come over here. I know Bob and Dave would be pleased :-). Some posters I think would make great additions here, imo: sitra, lauren, bulldog, felonious, etc.
