tejek, I remember awhile ago that we were debating gay marriage and one of the things I believe you said was that you wanted to live by what Jesus taught and that he never said anything against gay marriage. But I found something that contradicts what you said: "But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. [Mark 10:6-8] Here are some other verses in the Bible that argue against homosexuality and gay marriage. This is why Christians typically are against gay marriage. We have been taught from our childhood that it is wrong and it is plain as day for anyone to see in the Bible. So if you believe in the Bible as God's law, then you believe that gay marriage and homosexuality are a sin. "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." [Leviticus 20:13] "But because there is so much sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman should have her own husband." [I Cor 7:2] "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders" 1 Corinthians 6:8-10
