here's the next tech killer app. It's VOIP and the continued adoption of broadband. All of the major telecom companies are getting rid of their circuit switched networks and replacing them with IP networks. In addition, all corporations are getting rid of their old PBX phone networks and getting IP phone networks. In addition, consumer VOIP is starting to ramp up very fast, since the economics are so compeling. All of this generates end demand for more bandwidth, which translates more dollars for Cisco. Just my take on it!

Yeah things are really negative on tech right now.

Sorry, the numbers don't agree with you.

S&P500 tech was up 2% in 2004, and is down 4% so far in 2005.

That doesn't qualify as "really negative", I'd say neutral is a better description.
