The liberals are worried they won't know how to choose investments, if we get a personal account. I'll tell you how. So pay close attention. If you plan to retire in 2020, then choose the Fund that says 2020. If you plan to retire in 2015, choose the one that says 2015. These are called lifecycle funds and are built to target your retirement year. Simple enough.

It's not even that... I've asked a few people my age that I know what they'd do with money in private accounts if they were to obtain them, and they all said that they'd hope that someone could tell them what to do with the money...

Look between 1965 and 1985, or 1998 and now. That's the problem. Safety replaced by uncertainty. People will learn to invest. From the article:
