I liked this part from the Raging Bull piece:

Investment Strategy: “I look for companies that no one else knows about with superior tech or management – hopefully both. I tend to get in them early, often before they are listed, but I do a ton of DD and I only invest in companies that I honestly feel will return 1000% on my investment over a two or three-year period. I invested in THQI in March of 1997 at around $3 (split adjusted) and sold most of it in November of 1999 for $45. I bought EDIG at 50 cents early in 1999, and it hit $10 (first week of January and hit around $18 this week.)”

I think Trippi confused a roaring bull market for investment savvy on his part.

LOL!-No wonder the Democrats don't want private Social Security accounts!

me thinks Mr.Crichton could write a
factual fiction novel of a not named political
party who were in power but needed money (one of em
deep in debt as I recall) and getting
the markets to the sky having obtained a most
needed objective and all the malaise
and interwoven discombobulation that only he can write.
There are so many footnotes to examine.

for instance -what is interesting with this fella
is the PR firm then representing of one of his biggest
holdings and his relationship with both during that time.

Another great story to chew over. fact? fiction?...
we were there...who knows.

Also notice that the book the article says would
come out:
"Later this year, a book titled “The Road Warrior” by Peter Goldman, former senior editor at Newsweek magazine, will be coming out. It will detail eight years on the road with Joe Trippi, known on Raging Bull as random1."

never did.

And you probably know Mr.Goldman's Newsweek leanings,
could be another story in that book....who knows.

just musing and that was a good line you wrote.
I'm afraid imma going to be saying googly moogly
for a while.
