I haven't commented on this Jordan controversy until now, but it seems to me the issue wasn't really about Jordan. The issue was bigger than that.

For years, CNN's coverage of the American military has been grossly slanted. Often, they appear to want our military to fail. In the case of Gulf War 1 we had Peter Arnett, the disreputable journalist in Baghdad interviewing Saddam and asking him softball question after softball question, while our troops were on the verge of war. We had him escorted to "milk factories" in order to plead the case of the Iraqi regime; we had him interviewing their spokesperson almost every night on television, telling their story. Which even Jordan admitted after our invasion in Gulf War 2 was often a lie.

In effect, they've been doing the work of the enemy. Risking American lives in the process, risking our brave soldier’s lives, and risking the success of our effort.

Now, we have one of their longtime executives of the newsroom, basically confirming what everyone on the right has been saying for years, confirming they "hate" the military.

Jordan hates them to such a degree he would spout absolute nonsense in front of an international audience. He hates them to such a degree, he attempted to influence world opinion and turn influential media people against the American military by making ridiculous remarks, when the truth is just the opposite.

Every day somewhere in Iraq, the American military is "saving" a reporter’s life, not trying to kill them. They teach them where to go which is safe, they escort them around the war zone and shoot to kill terrorists, while a reporter ducks and hides his backside. A twenty something year old soldier is this very night standing a guard-watch outside the Hotel where some reporter is staying in order to "protect" them.

Not seeing that, not crediting our military for the work they do each and every day, and instead carrying on and spouting absolute lunacy in front of an international audience is Eason Jordan's mental model.

CNN was caught hiring, promoting, and keeping a person in one of the highest influential news positions for years who hated the American military.

And today, the American people are simply not going to stand for it. Jordan knew once the bogs exposed his hatred, he and CNN were going to be seriously damaged, maybe even fatally.

It takes real hatred to spout a lie of this magnitude against our troops during a time of war, when world opinion matters so much for us to succeed in Iraq. And it takes an arrogant narcissistic ass to believe other people would agree with you.

That's how cut off from reality CNN news executives have become. That's how far out in the fringes of left leaning lunacy they have gone.

That's the story.

Indeed. But that was not the question. The question was what Jordan said about "systematic" "murder" on the part of the "US military".

No, that wasn't the question. The question was if Jordan said that journalists had been deliberately targeted by the US military. Which he clearly did.

You are moving the goalposts.

But you know that no one can recall the exact wording because the people at Davos won't release the tape. There is nothing a person can do but go on eyewitness accounts in this situation. That is fair.

What is important is that this kind of behavior is being thoroughly scrutinized and there are real consequences. For what ever reason, Jordan decided not to protect his position....other than with some small protestations and it was obvious his heart just wasn't in it. It sounds like he's got some real personal problems to deal with, and that it all just became too much. Heck......If I had his millions, I'd get out of the spot light asap and go back to the private sector too. I don't doubt he'll work against the American military from there.

The question was what Jordan said about "systematic" "murder" on the part of the "US military".
