We can agree that Hitler was a sick f#&k. I hope that we can agree that he was an authoritarian. (It seems to be so accepted that even the movie Boys from Brazil makes it a central part of the plot.)

While you claim that he was not leftist, I claim he was no rightist. If we are to agree on this, it would require the conclusion that on the whole he was a centrist politically. He certainly was an opportunist.

As you pointed out, while he favored gassing Jews, in the end he gassed just about every type and stripe of person. I think we can agree on this as well.

Do we agree that the free world has a moral obligation to try to prevent another Hitler?

OT - How would you rate Hussein compared to Hitler? IMO he was not as dangerous when he was stopped. Saddam had learned to use some of the same techniques.
