We'll have to agree to disagree about whether Bush should ever adjust his priorities based on new information.

I keep hearing conservatives say that Democrats think there is no problem with Social Security. That seems to be a distortion. Democrats have been saying that there's no emergency, and we don't have to act as if there is one.

It makes sense to me to take a measured approach to the problem instead of trying to ram a particular agenda through quickly because of a trumped-up emergency.
