Eliminating or reducing subsidies for loss making industries is exactly the opposite of a move closer to communism.


Yes, but I wasn't talking about a true communistic system. I was talking about Russia and her satellites before the wall fell.......nations that were called communistic but, in reality, were just run of the mill dictatorships. Through budgetary mismanagement, they allowed their infrastructure to deteriorate. That's what we are doing. Too much money is going to the GOP's war........and to make up for the failure of the tax cuts to generate the kind of revenue Bush needed to keep budget deficits in line, he is having to cut everything. And given that its a GOPer wielding the knife, the programs they have never liked are the ones cut the worst.

We are two nations under God. And the schism grows with each passing day.
