Whether its called marriage or porridge means less to me but the ability to have monogomous relationships might offset the recklessness which comes from a hopelessness and a sadness of gay men combined with the testosterone thing. If it reduced aids and had to be called marriage, i would be for it but my personal view is that the US is not ready yet. I am not a math guy and have not quantified numbers in my large minority statement. Suffice it to say that it is large enough to be very dangerous and prevelant enough to be talked about in the NY area along with crystal meth epidemic and aids among black woman. Mike

Being in that age group I think that is is a naiveté that the AIDS virus is for younger promiscuous adults and does not have relevance to older adults who really up until lately have not been a part of that problem. What it is proving is that no one is safe and that it is far better to use preventive measures than take a risk. Also.. one last thing. In the retirement homes that have sprung up in the last decade the widows and widowers are mating and they think they are too old to be part of an epidemic.. hence they do not take precautions.
