Ted, The whole damn place needs to go on a diet.......big time!

I agree, but try being the first politician to tell his constituents that. As I told Z, we kind of like living in paradise.

Just a block away from my house is the local elementary school. Every school day my wife and I are astounded by the number of minivans and SUVs that show up in the school lot. No joke, even mid-size sedans are an uncommon sight, and I don't recall seeing even one compact car. Worse, I'd bet that most of those vehicles are carrying children over distances that they can easily walk or bike.

Think that's Bush's fault, that he should be going up there and telling people they're too fat and lazy? Heh, not even Howard Dean would dare do that.

I got BAD NEWS for you, Ted.

It's spreading.

It used to be down in Mexico and Central America you saw very few fat people. Now, as they have become more prosperous, so have their waistlines.

With undoubtedly the same wonderful results we get.
