I agree, but try being the first politician to tell his constituents that. As I told Z, we kind of like living in paradise. My God, Ten, why can you not see the forest for the trees? The politicians can not be the instigators of such a policy. It must come from the people first. They must demand change much like the Ukrainians did recently; much like Americans did in the 1960s. And here we have an American like yourself.......a well informed, educated one at that......who doesn't want to bite the bullet and believes Kyoto is screwing America. Why should a politician risk her/his survival to go against what you, Joe citizen, don't want? Its not the politicians' fault..........its the fault of Americans and their stinkin' thinkin'. We are in a massive state of daNile.......and while in that state, we are feeding at the trough like pigs and growing huge as a consequence. Just a block away from my house is the local elementary school. Every school day my wife and I are astounded by the number of minivans and SUVs that show up in the school lot. No joke, even mid-size sedans are an uncommon sight, and I don't recall seeing even one compact car. Worse, I'd bet that most of those vehicles are carrying children over distances that they can easily walk or bike. That's right........and then we wonder why American kids are the fattest ever and starting to get diseases that normally are adult onset. My God, at 31, Tedy Brushi of the Patriots had a stroke. He is 6'1" and weighs 247 lbs. American football players are porked......I can't imagine how they are able to play an entire game..........probably because there are two teams playing........defense and offense.Think that's Bush's fault, that he should be going up there and telling people they're too fat and lazy? Heh, not even Howard Dean would dare do that. No, its the fault of Americans, not Bush's........just as Bush is America's fault and no one else's. ted
