Thompson was known for his observations on the decadence and depravity of his own life. Yep. I am amazed at the amount of coverage he is getting. Must be a "baby boomer" thing. I am glad to see that Sandra Dee got to see the movie about her former husband, Bobby Darin, before she died. This was my guy. John Raitt, the lyric baritone who created Broadway history as Billy Bigelow in the original production of "Carousel" in 1945 and Sid Sorokin in "The Pajama Game " a decade later, died yesterday at his home in Los Angeles.
