You and MM clearly don't understand how people get to a democracy. Perhaps you will share your worldly wisdom on how oppressed people get to freedom. While being murdered by a power hunger dictator might work for some, but it is how what most people would choose to obtain freedom. The first step towards freedom is to have some, for some this is getting so fed up the exercise it. The Shiites tried this after the liberation of Kuwait. The Arabs in the neighborhood strongly discouraged the US from supporting freedom, and GHWB 41 allowed Saddam to free them using the alternate method. We owed the Iraqi people for abandoning them in their struggle for freedom. We are repaying the debt. We don't expect the left to understand debt or obligation. It involves a thing that the leftwing / Democrat faithful will never understand. That is honor.
