I may be wrong about this but europe's lifting of the embargo provides weapons to china that they would need to try to conquer Taiwan. Hong Kong may have been a good model for taiwan to follow one day. But now that hasnt worked out as well as optimists claimed. It is hard for folks like me who value freedom and human rights to see Taiwan absorbed into china the way it is structured today. Mike
