I got that it was a bash intended for Laz and not to belittle left wing causes ... Same with the 'outing of GOP' gays. Your support of left wing causes is not in question. Everyone knew clinton was left wing and thus politically supportive of women's causes. However, as a direct result of clinton's conduct the N.O.W., which was powerful and commanding at the time, became a joke. More trying to assemble puzzle pieces around the cause without the presence of the core values.
