The Smear Vets make the preposterous claim that AARP hates the troops and loves gays.

Again, so what? Are those veterans not allow to voice their opinion as a group? Would you censor their freedom of speech? Are they doing something wrong? What's your point?

Your attempt to link Swift-Vets with USA Next is laughable, Kenneth...

Here is a similar story from the NYT...

...To help set USA Next's strategy, the group has hired Chris LaCivita, an enthusiastic former marine who advised Swift Vets and P.O.W.'s for Truth, formerly known as Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, on its media campaign and helped write its potent commercials. He earned more than $30,000 for his work, campaign finance filings show.

Officials said the group is also seeking to hire Rick Reed, a partner at Stevens Reed Curcio & Potholm, a firm that was hired by Swift Vets and was paid more than $276,000 to do media production, records show.

For public relations, USA Next has turned to Creative Response Concepts, a Virginia firm that represented both Swift Vets - the company was paid more than $165,000 - and Regnery Publishing, the publisher of "Unfit for Command," a book about Senator John Kerry's military service whose co-author was John E. O'Neill, one of the primary leaders of Swift Vets...

nytimes.com

So we have the following tenuous connections to Swift Boat Vets:

1. Chris LaCivita - a consultant for Swift Vets that was paid $30,000 for his services. He was a paid consultant, not a Swift-Vet member. I note that your article omits this fact.

2. Stevens Reed Curcio & Potholm - a media production company that was paid more than $276,000 to do media production for the Swift Vets. Another paid consultant and NOT a Swift-Vet member. A fact which your article omits.

And finally...

3. Creative Response Concepts - they were paid 165,000 to do public relations for Swift Vets. Again, just another paid consultant not a Swift-Vet member. I note again that your article omits this fact too.

Paid consultants hardly make this a "Swift-Boat Vet" smear campaign. Put your partisan brush down, Kenneth, you've made yourself look foolish again by distorting reality.
