I haven't seen anyone name any SI posters and trash them there, but then I mostly read Mephisto. If you search for your name (and find a post referring to you personally), and find it, I'd be very surprised. So that's what it's like. I know, that may be hard to comprehend, but I've never seen Mephisto mention a poster on SI whom she did not like. Isn't that amazing! Imagine if other thread heads could do that- discuss issues, without going on witch hunts over thread personalities. Why, it might actually be possible to talk to people with whom one disagrees- if those people could stop personalizing everything. At the moment, with the current level of incivility, it is impossible. I haven't seen anything anywhere on SI that looks like what is being done to Christine by certain posters, who know who they are. It's shameful, in every sense of the word.
