I think elections in Iraq are great! As an American, I like that they are electing people. If they ask us to leave immediately, maybe have a popular referendum, I'll be even happier! I won't even care if they then start calling us The Great Satan - at least we'll be gone from there. Will it have been worth it? For the Iraqis and the Iranians, certainly. For us, not so much. That will be the Bush legacy, an expensive, not TOO bloody war launched by mistake that achieved really nothing for the US. If anything, it will just end up costing us status in the world.

The screamers on the left are doing their party a disservice, and doing the Repubs a service....Many of the left are/were like Zell Miller...or Sam Nunn. Watching the screaming left-socialists and left-fascists as well is fascinating. Look for implosion someday, perhaps sooner than later.
