You insult our intelligence with your mistaken belief that we can sit back in the U.S. and do nothing, and the terrorists in the Middle East will leave us alone. Appeasement doesn't work. When will you liberals ever learn that? I never said to do appeasement. I said to use economic carrots to get countries to turn around........like the EU is doing. You are so turned about with this notion that Bush will cause the ME to turn democratic in ten years that its nearly impossible to convince you of other possibilities. It took Europe hundreds of years to become fully democratized........we are just watching the end of that process now. It took us over a hundred years. And yet, you honestly believe that Iraq is creating this domino effect and causing nation after nation in the ME to turn to democracy.........in spite of there being no historical precedence to support your case. And you want me to throw all caution to the wind and follow you. No way Jose! Truthfully, I wouldn't care but all this tripe is doing damage to this country. ted
