Amazing story. And who knows ... maybe RE will continue appreciating for another couple of years.

I had a couple of friends that had never owned before buy their first homes 2 to 3 years ago. I cringed at the time, but kept my mouth shut - lucky for me!

If a friend was buying now, I would say something. It feels like the NAZ in 1999.

OTOH, I'm not selling my house. I don't care if it goes up 30% or down 50% ... it makes no difference to me ... I still need a place to sleep (and read SI). But I can't imagine someone paying "market value" for it today.
