OK-- let's see. The lost post was about books.
Giving away books.
Except for you and my mother-in-law, I don't give away books. Well, every now and then, I find one that I think fits someone really well, and then I will.
But mostly I keep books.
This past weekend we met with friends we haven't seen in fifteen years, and she was talking about how she was into simplifying her life, and I was nodding, yes, yes, me too, when she said she gave away their books.
I was appalled.
No books?
No, she reads a book, and gets rid of it, and gets another.

I felt naked and scared at the thought.
No stack of books waiting for you?

I realize Dan and I have a folie à deux thing about books, but I never thought there was REALLY something wrong with us. There are lots of people here who are the same way about books, so I have just assumed it was those weird people with objets d'arts in their bookshelves who were odd, not US.
I can't imagine not having my pile of books waiting for me.
It would be like a wine rack with no bottles in it.
An empty refrigerator.
And you have the same obsession and that is why I know your dream will never come true.
