I hope you stay in your nice zone. (smile) I guess it's about time for me to make a statement to get myself in trouble again. I am going to draw closer to your thinking by saying that most of the world's troubles are caused by fundamentalists. All religions have them. They are the ones that make sure that if you have any love or compassion whatsoever that you are going to leave it at their churches or mosques. They are sure that when they get to heaven they will have a box seat to lean over and watch the heathens roasting in hell.

If you think closely about the words of God he seems to be saying that two things are required of his followers. Compassion and charity. Maybe the fundamentalists need to spend more time worring about those traits and less about what you and I think and believe.

James

Actually, everybody has their own opinions, and all are entitled to them.

Are we entitled to them? As an American I guess we are (so far). But being an American won't get anyone into God's kingdom. Only being born again. Then the Word says we are not of this world. We are sojourners in a foreign land and that's how the Word advises us to think of ourselves. The Word does not say stand up for your rights under the constitution!! Not at all. If Jesus was here and was an American citizen He would have nothing to do with any of what it means to be an American. He would not vote or endorse a candidate. He would just reach out to the lost and ignore America. Has the Church replaced love of Jesus with a patriotic American Christianity.
