More on Iran from msnbc
Bob MacFarland and Nancy Soderberg commenting on velvet revolution now going on in lebanon where govt resigned today. No shots being fired there. MacFarland said syria/israel peace closer than folks expect. He expects Russia to become the worlds storage facilty for nuclear waste and iran would a test of that desire on their part. I just have that feeling that tectonic shifts are taking place and that iran may yet be assuaged by a strategic relationship with russia so they just may opt out of axis of evil re nukes and perhaps re israel as i speculated earlier. How its done doesn't have to be with the military so don't imply that's my only position.

You certainly didn't exclude military options and I think it's quite fair to judge that "must be stopped" includes a military option.

I think I've been VERY FAIR and patient with people that don't agree with some of my conclusions. I'm not sure I've gotten the same benefit in return.

I think I've been VERY FAIR and patient with you. I've suggested [or implied] alternatives. I've pointed out the conflicting positions of the Administration. I've briefly debated the notion of stability. I've raised a whole series of pertinent questions that you can't or won't answer. I can't think of any way I could have been more fair.

If Iran must be stopped from implementing the nuclear power for energy how do you intend that this happen ?

I am not worried as we have atomic bombs, missiles and could take out Iran or any other Country that threatens us..

Every Country knows that. This is why I think we are hypocritical . If we can why can't they ?

If you were a small country and you knew the power of the U.S. would you not feel more secure knowing that you had some cards to play in the game of poker ? It's one upmanship...

We could always have the U.N. inspectors do to Iran what they did to find the WMD in Iraq.. Work through the U.N. to effect inspections.

The only comeback to rational thinking on this as I see it is to say Rogue nations cannot have nuclear power. And it is us who decides that.

Marking the world safe for Democracy.
