I thought that discussion was pretty evenly divided here. None of us are qualified to tackle the more scientific elements, but over all the discussion was lively and constructive. I'm not sure minds were changed but several of us vented and gave valid opinions.

That's what I like about "here." Where else can you participate in conversation with total strangers and come away with so many different perspectives? ( maybe Barnes and Noble???) The "food for thought" aspect alone makes it worthwhile imo.

Summers transgressed the mores of his social milieu. When you do that, you provoke outrage.

I think it's reasonable for the social milieu to be self-policing.

I think you know when you're going to tick people off but don't care because you don't share their mores, and don't care to fake it.
