I paid in approx. 60 K over my working lifetime through 2001. I have been pulling approx. 16 K per year since then. I guess it depends on how long I live.

So... is the problem the pension program for the poor, or the government's continual debasement of the currency and their inability to EVER live within their means???????

Sounds like a Constitutional Balanced Budget Amendment is *long* overdue.

SS is an insurance program. You ever get back all the $ you put into home or auto insurance. Even annuities are run at a profit. Get real.
