The Wal-mart people made a large fortune. The manufacturing workers made smaller ones. It was a play on the old saw "you can make a small fortune <doing something> but you have to start with a big one!" In this case it is the REAL GDP (stuff actually built, made and used here) and not the $$$ passing through the gate.

It is absolutely true that half the people are below average in intelligence. That is not arrogance but a statistical fact. So, these esoteric economics are beyond most people, just like the actual operation of a computer are beyond most people who use one.

Are the voters too stupid? I don't know. I'm hoping it's just ignorance. Ever see people try to find Iraq on a map. It's very sad to watch.
