anyone noticed big decline in MZM money supply ???
it looks worse than it is
from $806B to $797B in first half of February

research.stlouisfed.org

February looks horrendous
gonna track down some evidence on where money destruction occurred

my guess is credit card companies are getting tough
and customers have cut back usage, even paid some debt off
also, could be reduction in stock account margin debt
only guessing, mind you !

a couple card comapanies for me have been nasty
like lowering credit limit just above my balance
like raising rates by 10%
stories abound on how home equity loans have dried up

any opinions or evidence?
will get back on the subject
