But if something is tedious, why respond? It simply perpetuates what is going on.

Graciousness is one thing, submitting yourself to the duty of graciously responding to what is tedious, by graciously telling someone they are tedious, seems a bit...

well
silly
and ungracious
It's kind of funny you think you were gracious.

I don't think your remarks are any of the following:
Characterized by kindness and warm courtesy.
Characterized by tact and propriety: responded to the insult with gracious humor.
Of a merciful or compassionate nature.
Condescendingly courteous; indulgent.
Characterized by charm or beauty; graceful.
Characterized by elegance and good taste: gracious living.

IMO

Unsolicited remarks? Pretty weird thing to say into a multipost post dialog.

Why post a public message and not send a private atta-boy, especially on this thread where you seldom post unless it is an invitation for comment?

We do have different ideas of graciousness, e.g., "people like you i find absolutely tedious". My point was why post to me if I am that tedious? And so many posts? I'm sure the loss of wages for the average worker has powered the Dow. Most investors on this board have benefited from it. To deny that OTHERS (the workers) have been paying for this wealth transfer is disingenuous.

By making the kinds of hyperbolic statements you make, it is a public invitation for comment.
