Possibly. I have a read a couple articles that claim that the Tel Aviv bombing was planned by Jihad Islami out of Damascus. However, what I'm talking about is the continuing almost daily capture by Israeli operatives of suicide bombers on their way to Israeli targets. It has continued unabated.

Both Hamas and Islamic Jihad have agreed to the cease fire. Are they lying? If not, who is sending the suicide bombers?

I think Abbas is doing the right things by trying to unify the security forces, but I also think he faces an incredible uphill battle. The Palestinians have been raised to believe that Jews are evil and must be extirminated. So even when they are faced with the prospect of statehood and peace, they are finding it difficult to stop make a clear cut effort to stop attacking Israel and to stop supporting the groups that are doing the attacking. In addition, you have terrorist groups running their operations out of Syria who operate unimpeded by Syria. Abbas has his hands full for sure.

MM, if I were the Palestinians I would not believe anything that comes out of the Israelis' mouths.......particularly Sharon. You do understand that Sharon was the general who looked the other way while Lebanese Christians massacred Palestinians in a refugee camp; that Sharon was the Minister of Housing who authorized the construction of the thousands of housing units in the WB and Gaza. Sharon has repeatedly said as recently as two years ago that the Palestinians will never get their independence. Would you trust some one like that? I know I wouldn't.

Luckily, with Lebanon, we have a lever to use against Syria to help stop the support for terrorism. But this is whole Middle East peace process sure is slow going and akin to walking on a knife's edge.

Yup.
