"What about social responsibility, Cindy? Doesn't society have a right to expect that women who have an unexpected and unwanted pregnancy have a social obligation to avoid creating the social woes caused by poverty, improper parenting and unaffordable offspring? "

In the last few decades we have seen unborn children legally killed. Now that a whole generation has grown up with killing unborn children who don't know a time when their lives were once protected by law, it appears the next step will be "burdens on society". What will your the parameters be for killing "burdens".

How would your "social responsibility" affect older or disabled people who become "burdens" to society? Would they be killed after a certain $ amount is spent on them? or reach a certain age? or mobility? or mental capacity?

That sounds like a slippery slope to me.

You better be careful what you wish for, you might actually get it.

I realize adoption will not take care of all unwanted children, but it would be one part of the solution.

I know women who have had an abortion and also given a child up for adoption. They regret the abortion far more than giving the child up for adoption.
