Greenspan's March to Infamy

I compare Greenspan's March 2, 2001 speech to his March 2, 2004 speech.

Greenslime says keep the tax breaks for the wealthy, then he says gut SS now while you can (only matters significantly to the poorest), and now add a tax that will effectively be a 1-for-1 pay cut for the poorest and once again no significant bother for the wealthy. The only thing left in his bag of feces for the masses is a poll tax. How about taxing free TV like they do in Europe? Maybe taxing air? How about an auto tax that goes UP over time to penalize those who can't buy a new car every couple of years?

His Highness says the tax will encourage savings. In reality, if the tax were 5% and you had managed to save 5% of your income before, your savings would be redirected to prop up the tax breaks for the wealthy.

I swear, if there was a HUGE solar flare that knocked out TV for a week, these demon seeds would be run out of town on a rail.
