No. I haven't. Actually I just have my mom's little upright. I promised her, all my life really, that I would treasure her piano. It isn't actually that good, but it meant a great deal to her, so I moved it up here. My dear husband said I could have a grand, but I don't need to pianos, and I'm not performing, so my mom's is fine- and I am keeping my promise, and I think of her when I play it. So that's a good thing.

I do love grand pianos though. When we get a second house, I'm definitely getting a grand.

I didn't realize you were a musician, Bill. The Baldwin was a terrific instrument in the past. I haven't played the newer models. I am green with envy over a nine foot piano and a room large enough to contain it. I even turned a pale minty color over your Yamaha baby. They are great.
I have a Young Chang baby grand that isn't aging well. I have it tuned every three months hoping it will improve.
Tomorrow I get to play a concert grand Steinway at a competition when our high school competes at UILs. I also will get to play one of any weird assortment of pianos that they bring in for the solo competitions. You never know what you will get. I once had one without a brake on its wheels and it rolled away from me while some poor kid was singing. I stood up and chased it, playing the whole time.
The highlight film of my accompanying career isn't exactly full of brilliant and dignified performances.
