Well, there are bloggers and then there are bloggers. There is someone like Carl Zimmer the science writer who won an award for his blog and is sponsored by Courante. But then, what if you're just an individual who puts up a blog and you have a friend at a company and that friend tells you confidential information over a beer and you have no "standards" of journalism (not that journalism has such great standards anymore, I admit)? It's kind of the wild west and anybody can put up a blog. I can understand Apple wanting to protect itself and a judge drawing the line at blogs, even though I like that there are blogs.

It's been proven recently that the "journalists" are not telling the truth, so why attack bloggers and hold them to a higher standard than we do someone at CBS or the NYTimes?
