Hi Sig,

Re: <<I'm planning to make some big bets using ten cent stops. Stocks like XTO, XEC, CKE,- that category. >>

Be careful, very careful. First, the volatility of these stocks will trigger "ten cent" stops very quickly.

Second, look at the stock charts, assuming that you haven't already. These stocks have had great run ups, and I for one would expect some seriously profit taking.

Third, I believe we will see $43 to $48 oil before we see $80. If oil drops into the forties range, I would then become a buyer. However, I wouldn't bet the farm on oil, nor any other sector. Maintain a balanced portfolio and hope for the best.

Fourth, don't be surprised to see a major rotation out of the oil stocks and into the tech stocks. I think we will see some further declines in tech, making them that more attractive. Given oil going back down into the forties, watch the sector rotation from oil to tech kick in.

In any event, that's my thinking. I'm not a register broker nor advisor. Just another small investor trying to make some money in the markets.

Good luck and I hope it works out for you.

XTO is giving Barnett Shale production and well cost numbers to analysts and buy-side investors are not realistic, IMO.

Sig,
Hi!!

RE: XTO the next Dell???

Is this a frightening omen?? A coincidence that once again you have always reminded me of my father.. :o)

My father has been into XTO for 6 months...Did his own research...Called his grandson (runs over $1 billion fund on Wall St.) who did a huge research paper (book) for MStanley prior to leaving on small oil companies...Grandson confirms grandfathers pick...Well, long story here...But, father tells me last summer: "Kemble, this company and the opportunities and their EFFICIENCY reminds me of a young DELL"...

Needless to say...He's jumpin' for joy @87...

No lie!!!

Best, Kemble
