Think of anybody you know who went through the old-fashioned Catholic education system, pre Vatican II. Did it shape his outlook on the world, his responses, his views of super-pious Catholics, even if he himself was a lapsed Catholic? Generally speaking, the answer is: you betcha. LMAO! You've described me perfectly, a pre-Vatican II Catholic educated by Old Guard Spanish Jesuits. Jeez, what a tough bunch they were. Although my rational mind tells me this is ridiculous, my lizard brain tells me I'm destined to Hell because I've missed so many Sunday Masses, confessions, etc. Nothing I can do about ridding my psyche of any of that bull.
