The UN is only a good idea in theory. In reality, the UN is a dangerous thing if its powers are increased. If a powerful dictator was successful in taking over the UN and disarming the world, you see the problem. Every govt including the UN is potentially susceptible to hijacking.

How does one control the UN or fix it when it is overwhelmingly peopled by governments which are not democratic? You are not being serious here.
