I wonder what the Muslim / non-Muslim split is between today's pro-Syria crowd and the previous anti-Syria crowd?? The "pro-Syria" crowd is so anti-Israel that my hunch is they are virtually all Muslim, but I wonder what the mix is amongst the opposition anti-Syria team?

And its a share that the TV news doesn't provide answers to these basic questions!

Good point. I was trying to say before that what we're seeing in the ME is change, but change isn't always good. There are a lot of forces allied against each other; tribal, religious, ideological, economic, geographic.

No telling how this stew is going to turn out after we have stirred the pot. And Bush sure likes to stir the pot, unlike all former Presidents (Rep and Dem) that tried to promote stability in the region that supplies the lifeblood of our economy.
