I saw that! Very interesting. Looks like the same old problem in the Middle East is cropping up in Lebanon. They hate Americans more than they love their own freedom. Sometimes, I think Bush should just keep his mouth shut and apply subtle, under the table pressure. Instead, he makes threats through the world media, which makes the Arabs bristle, which complicates things. One more example of Bush's complete lack of understanding of how to use diplomacy appropriately. BTW, in my mind diplomacy isn't just negotiation. It is also, making threats behind closed doors, but letting people save face in public. With Syria, this would have worked a heck of a lot better than public threats.
