And as the report said it might also be a fear combat that keeps them from joining.

Some probably do join for other reasons. That's why I recommend raising the recruitment age.

Anyone who attempts to join the military and doesn't understand its function is making a big mistake. One explanation is that they are too immature to get it.

Show me were anyone here suggested a desire to go to war was a major reason people join the military. People enlist for many reasons - some economic, some patriotic, some for travel and adventure, some for the personal challenge. What is your point? Do you have one?
