I don't think the grunts at our torture prison read Rumsfeld's directives or Gonzaleze's memos for guidance in how to treat the prisoners. They had instruction from the professionals, the intelligence officers who came in to "debrief" the prisoners. As far as I know, none of them has been charged, or even identified, even though they appear in some of the pictures of the abuse. As superior officers on the scene, shouldn't they be responsible for whatever the enlisted personell are doing in their view?
