Nadine introduced these thoughts to avoid the issues(as usual). ""If the US had declined to fight WWII..."". That was Lindberg's and much of the political right's agenda in the 1930s. ""...if the US had simply bugged out of Europe after WWII and left the whole thing as a goodbye present to Joe Stalin...."" An economic pipe dream(as I'm sure you know) as the US needed to build up Europe in order to have a place to sell it's goods, self interest at work. A military pipe dream since the USSR was anathema to US military thought. A political pipe dream since Karl Marxs writings were and still are anathema to US political thought.
